Khaleda condoles death of Chandan

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday expressed profound shock at the death of rhymester and journalist Obaidul Gani Chandan. In a condolence message, Khaleda said Chandan’s role as a journalist in maintaining objectivity of news was commendable, and never compromised with the independence of the media. She prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family members. BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also condoled his death, according to a news agency.
