Khaleda crying for protecting war criminals, militants: Inu

MOULAVIBAZAR, Dec 17 (BSS): Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said Thursday that Khaleda Zia and her party leaders are shouting that there is no democracy and it has been in prison, in reality, it's not democracy but war criminals and militant are in prison.
"Khaleda Zia's concern is not for democracy. In fact, she is crying for protecting war criminals and militants," the minister made this remark while speaking as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of two-day conference of the Daily Bhorer Kagoj Correspondents at Srimongal Grand Sultan Tea Resort here.
Inu said Khaleda Zia and her son along with party people are always trying to mislead the nation by distorting the country's history.
He termed Khaleda Zia as the queen of war criminals, militants and rajakars, saying Khaleda and Tareqe dishonoured the martyrs, county's war of liberation and independence by making falsehood against the country and government.
The minister said journalists has huge responsibilities of upholding democracy and the spirit of the liberation war, saying there is no scope to measure Razakars and freedom fighters in the same balance. Artists and journalists never support injustice, the information minister observed.
