Khaleda declares war against people: Inu

JHENIDAH, Jan 9 (BSS): The government will enact online policy soon as the present government believes in transparency of the mass media.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said this while he was speaking at a views exchange meeting with journalists at the Jhenidah Press Club auditorium here Thursday night.
At present, the number of newspapers and journals is almost 1200 across the country, said the minister, adding, it was only 600 during the regime of the previous government.
Another report adds from Khulna: Hasanul Haque Inu said Friday BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia declared war against people by creating anarchy across the country in the name of nonstop blockade.
Criticising Khaleda Zia for not withdrawing blockade during Biswa Ijtema', Inu said, she wanted to attack religious sentiment of the Muslims and to destroy the Ijtema, the second largest assembly of pious Muslims in the world.
In favour of thousands Muslims, he urged Khaleda Zia to be soft in mind and to give opportunity to perform Ijtema for the pious Muslims. If she doesn't do it the government will take tougher action against her, the minister threatened.
The Information Minister was speaking as the chief guest of the Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Khulna city and district units conference at Shaheed Hadis Park.
Chaired by Khulna City unit JSD president Rafiqul Haque Khokon, the conference was addressed as special guests, by central general secretary of JSD Sharif Nurul Ambia, member of JSD standing committee Shrin Akhter, MP.
