Khaleda expelled Mannan Bhuiyan from BNP

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia Monday expelled Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan from the party as secretary general. She made the announcement while on her way out of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Dhaka where she had been produced following arrest in a corruption case. Khandaker Delwar Hossain replaces Bhuiyan and will work as the acting secretary general, said the former prime minister, after she was ordered to jail. Delwar will be assisted by two senior BNP leaders—ASM Hannan Shah and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy.
