Khaleda in court for graft case hearing

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has reached a court in Old Dhaka to attend hearing in two corruption cases. She reached the court at Bakshibazar just after 10am on Thursday. The former prime minister is accused in ‘Zia Orphanage Trust’ and ‘Zia Charitable Trust’ funds graft cases. These cases centre round siphoning off Tk52.5 million funds from the charities, for which Khaleda stands accused. She attended the last hearing on June 18. The then Anti-Corruption Commission Deputy Director Harun-Ur-Rashid is the plaintiff of both cases, according to bdnews24.com.
