Khaleda, Mirza Alamgir mourn Matin\\\'s death

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday expressed profound shock at the demise of Abdul Matin, popularly known as Bhasha Matin for his significant role in 1952 Language Movement. In a condolence message, she said that the nation has lost a legend of the Language Movement with the demise of Abdul Matin. BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, in separate message, expressed deep shock at the death of Matin and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members. Matin died in the morning at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital in the city at the age of 87, according to a news agency.
