Khaleda on way to B\\\'baria

BNP Chairperson and 20-party alliance leader Khaleda Zia left Dhaka for Brahmanbaria on Tuesday morning to address a public rally in the district town. The rally will begin around 3:00pm at Niaz Mohammad High School ground in Brahmanbaria town. The local unit of the BNP-led 20-party alliance have organised the public meeting in a bid to mobilise support of the people of all section of the society in favour of the opposition bloc’s demand for a fresh national poll under a non-party neutral administration. BNP high-ups said Khaleda, also the former prime minister, left her residence at Gulshan in the city for Brahmanbaria at 11:45am. A senior BNP leader accompanying Khaleda, said she is scheduled to return to Dhaka on Tuesday night after attending the rally. This will be the BNP chief’s 3rd district tour after the January 5 national elections, boycotted by her party and its allies. Earlier, Khaleda went to Munshiganj on May 28 and Joypurhat on June 22 and addressed public rallies there, according to private TV channels.
