Khaleda out to make BD dysfunctional state: Tofail

Monday, 2 February 2015

BHOLA, Feb 1 (UNB): Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said on Sunday BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is trying to turn Bangladesh into a dysfunctional state through violent political programmes like hartal and blockade.
He said this while addressing the inauguration of Rokeya Primary School-cum-Cyclone Centre at Shibpur union parishad in Sadar upazila.
The minister noted that Khaleda is working against the interest of the country by killing people through petrol bomb attacks in their blockade programme and enforcing hartal during SSC examinations.
He said the BNP chief will never succeed with her plan and become politically bankrupt in the end.
Tofail alleged that Khaleda Zia is conducting 'terrorist activities similar to Al Quaeda in the name of blockade.
