Khaleda pays tributes to FFs, Ziaur Rahman

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has paid homage to the freedom fighters (FFs) who laid down their lives for the country during the War of Liberation in 1971 by placing wreaths at the National Mausoleum in Savar on Tuesday. Khaleda along with her party leaders and activists went to the national memorial around 9:34am and paid tributes to the war heroes. The BNP chief was accompanied by party acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP standing committee members Rafiqul Islam Miah, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan and Moyeen Khan, vice-president Shahjanhan Omar and joint secretary general Amanullah Aman. Later, Khaleda Zia and other top BNP leaders also placed wreaths at the grave of late President and valiant freedom fighter Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. The paid tributes to Ziaur Rahman, the founder of the BNP, and offered munajat there, according to a news agency.
