Khaleda renews threat to resist current regime

Criticising the government for what she said its misrule and repressive acts, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday renewed her threat to wage a united resistance against the current regime after the upcoming Eid. “The rule of Awami League is the rule of killings, forced disappearances and repressive acts. We’ll put up a united resistance together with people against this repressive government after Eid. The country’s people and Allah are with us. Our victory is inevitable,” she said. Khaleda, a former prime minister, was addressing an Iftar party arranged by Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (Jagpa), a partner of the BNP-led 20-party alliance at a city hotel, according to a news agency.
