Khaleda sits with senior lawyers

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia sat with pro-BNP senior lawyers on Sunday night to discuss the upcoming election to the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). The meeting began at the BNP chief’s Gulshan political office around 9:15pm with Khaleda Zia in the chair. Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah, Barrister Aminul Haq, Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, former justice Abdul Wahab, AJ Mohammad Ali and advocate Zainul Abedin, among others, attended the meeting. Party sources said Khaleda will elicit opinions of the party’s senior lawyers to finalise the BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad panel to contest the SCBA election, according to a news agency.
