Khaleda starts for makeshift court in Bakshibazar

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has left her Gulshan residence on Wednesday morning to appear in a court situated in Old Dhaka in connection with 2 graft cases. Party sources said Khaleda Zia, also the leadeder of the 20-party alliance, started for the makeshift court, set up in Dhaka’s Alia Madrasa premises at Bakshibazar near Dhaka Central Jail No 1, around 11:20am. She will appear before the Special Judge’s Court-3 in connection with Zia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases. She will appear before the newly-appointed Judge of the court Abu Ahmed Jamadar. The court, which is set to record deposition of the witnesses, started the trial proceedings around 11:30am but after sometime it adjourned the procedure and decided to sit again on Khaleda’s arrival, according to a news agency.
