Khaleda stops over at Jamuna Resort

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Friday night stopped over at Jamuna Resort in Tangail district on her way to Jamalpur district where she will address a public rally on Saturday. Khaleda arrived at the resort at around 9pm on Friday. Earlier, Khaleda left residence at Gulshan in Dhaka around 5:00pm. Several BNP leaders including Vice-Chairman Selima Rahman, Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas and chairperson’s Adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo are accompanying Khaleda. Local BNP leaders and activists led by the party’s Mirzapur Upazila unit President Abul Kalam Azad received the chairperson when her motorcade drove to Mirzapur town at around 8pm. Khaleda was received by former state minister Lufor Rahman Khan Azad and other leaders of the party and its front organisations when she reached Jamuna Resort, according to a news agency.
