Khaleda terms Ershad, Inu as killers

Branding Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad as killers, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Monday said all the murderers got united and established a reign of killings in the country, according to a news agency.
 “JSD, a killing squad, is now a partner of this illegal government. Another killer, Ershad, is out there with them. All these killers are now united and they’ve established a rule of killing,” she said.
Khaleda, also a former Prime Minister, came up with the allegation in her brief address at an Iftar party hosted by Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) on the premises of LD Hall of Parliament
Narrating the role of JSD during 1972-75, she said, “Awami League had killed many leaders and activists of JSD at that time. The party used to call Awami League a killer party while Awami League used to call JSD a killer party. Now this JSD is part of the Awami League government.”
The BNP chief also alleged that the government is ruling the country in its freestyle. “The ruling party cadres are indulging in exhortation, looting and killings as the government has lost the control over everything.”
Mentioning that people want to get rid of the current regime, Khaleda said the country is not safe in the hands of the Awami League-led ‘killer’ government.
She said the government made the all institutions of the country dysfunctional by politicisation. “The judiciary can’t function independently. Judges are being controlled and influenced by the government.”
She called upon all to get united to wage a strong movement after Eid to force the current regime to quit paving the path for holding a fresh election under a non-party administration.
