Islami United Party President Maulana Ismail Hossain presided over the discussion.
Dr Hassan Mahmud congratulated Bangabadhu's granddaughter and Sheikh Rehana's daughter Tulip Siddique on her being elected as MP in the UK parliament.
He said Khaleda Zia and her party men who called hartal and blockade and burned people to death must be tried.
The former minister said the passage of Land Border Agreement bill in Indian parliament is a diplomatic success of Awami League government.
For this, Khaleda Zia thanked the Indian government, but did not admit the success of Awami League government, he added.
State Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said there is no room for militancy in Islam, which is a religion of peace.
Food Minister Quamrul Islam said Jamaat-e-Islami is a militant organisation and an anti-liberation party. They are killing people in the name of religion, he added.
