Khaleda urges BNP men to reach aid to flood victims

Thursday, 2 August 2007

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia made Wednesday a fervent call to the leaders and workers of BNP and its affiliated organisations to stand beside the flood affected people of the country, reports BSS.
In a message, the former prime minister said as the miseries of the poor people had increased, extensive measures had to be taken, not only to reach succour to the affected people but to rehabilitate them after the flood water receded.
Khaleda said though it is not possible to restrict the natural disasters, the extent of damage could be contained through proper management of the crisis.
She called upon the affluent people of the country to extend their helping hands to the flood victims.
