Khaleda visits Nazrul\\\'s home

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday visited the family of murdered Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) Councillor Nazrul Islam. She reached Nazrul’s home in Shiddhirganj around 12 noon. The families of four associates of the slain councilor, who were also abducted on April 27 and later killed, were also present there. The BNP chief consoled the families of the victims. She was accompanied by senior party leaders including acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Around 12.45 pm, Khaleda headed towards the home of senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker, who along with his driver was abducted the same day and found dead two days later. NCC panel mayor Nazrul, his three associates, driver, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar and his driver were strangulated to death after abduction from Shimrail and Adalatpara in Narayanganj city on Apr 27, according to a news agency.
