Khaleda\\\'s \\\'complain\\\' amusing: Joy

Sunday, 29 June 2014

Sajeeb Wazed Joy has found it amusing that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia complained to the Indian external affairs minister about the state of democracy in Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son on Saturday wrote on his Facebook page, ‘I find it very amusing that Khaleda Zia has gone and complained to the visiting Indian Foreign Minister.’ Khaleda on Friday met Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, who came to Dhaka on a 3-day visit on Wednesday. During the meeting, the BNP chief reportedly complained to Swaraj about the state of democracy in Bangladesh. Several hours later, Joy’s mother, Awami League president Hasina, came down hard on her arch political rival and urged Khaleda to stop complaining to visiting foreign guests. Addressing a party rally in Dhaka, Hasina said, “(She is now) crying and begging to foreign masters after failing to get people’s support. Joy, who is also the prime minister’s IT adviser, said on his Facebook page on Saturday, ‘She (Khaleda) and the BNP have never stopped playing the anti-India card against us. Yet here she is desperately trying to get India involved in our internal affairs.’ He ended the post condemning Khaleda, ‘How shameful!’, according to bdnews24.com.
