Khaleda\\\'s Natore rally now on Nov 1

Wednesday, 29 October 2014

Khaleda Zia has cancelled a public rally she was supposed to address in Natore district on Thursday. The rally has been rescheduled to November 1, BNP’s Assistant Office Secretary Shamimur Rahman Shamim said. The sudden change of plans was made on Tuesday night. Shamim, however, did not give any specific reason for pushing the rally back, only saying it was ‘due to unavoidable reasons’. Natore rally was being organised by the BNP-led 20-party alliance. The BNP chief is addressing rallies organised by the coalition as a part of the campaign to sway public opinion for a fresh parliamentary election under a non-party and neutral administration. The alliance is also protesting against what they say are murders, enforced disappearances and ‘misrule’ of the Awami League-led government. Khaleda has already addressed 2 rallies in Jamalpur and Nilphamari districts, according to a news agency.
