Tuesday, 22 April 2014

Awami League (AL) Advisory Council member Suranjit Sengupta said Monday that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia announced the long march towards Teesta for opposing India in a subtle way, reports BSS.
"People could understand Khaleda Zia's ill-politics. She has called for long march towards Teesta because she wants to instigate anti-India campaign. But, we shall resolve the problem in talks with the next Indian government. Then your tricks would fall flat," he said pointing at Khaleda Zia.
Mr Sengupta, a veteran parliamentarian of the ruling AL, said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Bangabandhu Academy organised the discussion 'Current politics in Bangladesh' in the auditorium of Dhaka Reporters, Unity at Segunbagicha. Adviser of Bangabandhu Academy Haji Mohammad Selim chaired the discussion. It was also addressed, among others, by Samyabadi Dal leader Haroon Chowdhury and secretary general of the Academy Humayun Kabir Mizi.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Monday warned that stern actions will be taken against those who will try to create anarchy in the country in the name of any long march.
Talking to UNB, the State Minister said in a democratic society everyone has the right to observe any democratic programme.
