Khalily re-elected chair of risk management committee, Bank Asia

Prof. M. A. Baqui Khalily has been re-elected as chairman of the Board Risk Management Committee of Bank Asia.
He is one of the independent directors of the bank.
Prof. Khalily joined as a faculty member at the Department of Finance of the University of Dhaka in 1975 after completing his B.Com (Hons) and M.Com in finance from the same institution. He also obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees with major in finance and development in 1987 and 1991 respectively from Ohio State University, USA, according to a press release.
After a successful teaching career of 37 years, Professor Khalily retired from the University of Dhaka in 2012. He has a large number of publications especially on rural finance, financial inclusion, SME development and microfinance.
