Khelaghar, Azad SC sail

An all-round performance by Masum Khan enabled Khelaghar SKS to earn a five-wicket victory over Bangladesh Boys Club in a super league match of the Metropolis First Division Cricket League at the Dhaka University ground Thursday.
Chose to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh Boys Club were all out for 161 runs in 47.5 overs with tail-ender Rezwanul Islam contributing not out 34 runs.
Masum Khan grabbed five wickets for 49 runs to restrict Bangladesh Boys cheaply and later scored run-a-ball 37 hitting two fours and three sixes. Samiul Islam took three for 29 runs.
In reply, Khelaghar SKS reached their target making 163 runs for 5 in 44.1 overs with middle order Firoz Ahmed making unbeaten 39 runs off 73 balls hitting four fours in addition to Masum Khan's not out 37.
Rezwanul Islam picked up three wickets for 22 runs.
In the day's another super league match, Azad SC beat Eskaton Sabuj Sangha by three wickets at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
Winning the toss, Eskaton Sabuj Sangha batted first and scored 271 for all in 50 over with Ahsanul scoring 79 and Saddam 69 runs.
Ishaque and Tanveer took three wickets each giving away 30 and 51 runs respectively.
Chasing a handsome total, Azad SC scored match-winning 272 runs for the loss of seven wickets in in 48.4 overs with Habibur Rahman making 91 and Mizanur Rahman 80 runs. Faysal took two wickets for 55 runs, reports UNB.
