Khelaghar beat Prime Bank in last-ball thriller

Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity beat Prime Bank Cricket Club by two wickets in the last-ball thriller in the Walton Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League at BKSP ground-3 in Savar on Sunday, reports UNB.
With the day's feat, Khelaghar SKS shared the 2nd slot in the 12-team league jointly with Legend of Rupganj securing 14 points each playing 11 and 10 matches respectively, but in the net run rate Legend Rupganj are in the 2nd slot and Khelaghar SKS in the 3rd place after league leader Abahani Limited, which bagged 16 points from 11 encounters.
They also earned the right to play in the Super League for the first time.
Batting first, Prime Bank CC scored fighting total of 261 runs for all in 49.5 overs featuring 85 runs in the 3rd wicket stand by two down Al Amin and opener Mehrab Hossain Jr.
Al Amin contributed 94 runs off 96 balls hitting 10 fours and three sixes while Mehrab Hossain Jr scored patient 78-ball 37 runs with one over boundary. Number five Nahidul Islam added 27-ball 28 runs, including four hits to the fence. Tail-ender Shariful Islam scored 15-ball 22 runs with three sixes and Monir Hossain made run-a-ball 21 with two fours.
Mohammad Saddam grabbed four wickets for 58 runs while Tanvir Islam claimed three for 28 while Robiul Islam Robi took two for 25 runs.
In reply, Khelaghar SKS reached their target scoring 263 runs for 8 in the last ball of the 50th over.
One down Amit Majumder contributed 99-ball 71 runs featuring seven boundaries and was adjudged the man of the match.
Khelaghar SKS needed 12 runs in the last over and Masum Khan scored the match-winner hitting a boundary in the last ball of the match taken by Delwar Hossain after making 2,4,2,4 runs in the last four balls.
Besides, number five Al Menaria scored 63 off 57 balls with seven fours, two down Rafsan Al Mahmud made 40 off 51 balls with six fours, Masum Khan scored not out 36 runs off 23 balls hitting two fours and one six while Mahiudul Islam made 24-ball 21 runs with one six.
Shariful Islam picked up four wickets for 50 runs while Nahidul Islam and Eanamul Haque Junior took one wicket each.
