Khoka submits wealth statement

Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka Thursday submitted his wealth statement to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) declaring that he and his family have 11 houses and flats, eight plots, land property, Tk 55 million (5.5 crore) and many other assets, reports UNB.
In his statement, Khoka has stated that the assets belonging to him are two houses at Gopibagh, one in Munshiganj, one three-storied house at RK Mission Road, one six-storied building at Gulshan, 1,142 decimals of land in Gazipur and 32 decimals in Munshiganj.He also has about Tk 55 million earned through share transactions, two weapons, two vehicles (Lexus and Toyota) and 27 bank accounts-both sole and joint.
His wife has eight plots, two flats in Dhaka, 1,674 decimals of land in Gazipur and 11 bank accounts.
There are two flats in Dhaka, one shop at Basundhara City, FDR worth Tk 2.5 million and defence savings certificates worth Tk 1.5 million belonging to his son.
There are two flats in Dhaka and two bank accounts belonging to his daughter. Besides, the Khoka family has a business capital of Tk 157 thousand and ornaments worth Tk 250 thousand.Khoka, also Dhaka City BNP president, is one of the corruption suspects whose names appeared on the fourth list of 35 corruption suspects. Along with 11 others, he was issued a notice directing him to submit his wealth statement to the Commission.
