Khokon re-elected BTMA president

Mohammad Ali Khokon has been re-elected the president of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) for the terms of 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Faizur Rahman Bhuiyan and Saleud Zaman Khan have been elected vice presidents of the association, according to a statement.
The results of the election to the Board of Directors of BTMA were announced by its election board chairman Abul Bashar after the election was held at the BTMA's office at Karwan Bazar on Sunday.
Mr Khokon was elected unopposed. He is the chairman of Maksons Group. Maksons Spinning Mills and Metro Spinning are operating under the Group.
Mr Haque is the owner of Ahmmed Group. Ishraq Spinning Mills Ltd, Sajib Fashion Wear Ltd, Ishraq Cotton Mills Ltd and Ishraq Textile Mills Ltd are doing business under the Group.
Mr Bhuiyan is the chairman and managing director of Jaj Bhuiyan Group and Mr Khan is the chairman and managing director of NZ Group that operates denim, textile, apparel, spinning and fabric mills.
The other elected directors are Md Mosharaf Hossain, Md Monir Hossain, Syed Enayet Kabir, M Solaiman, Md Khorshed Alam, Md Masud Rana, Rajib Haider, Ishtehaq Ahmed Saikat, Monalisa Mannan, BM Shoaib, Shahid Alam, Azizur R Chowdhury, Ahmed Shahriar Rahman, Habibur Rahman, Abdullal al Mamun, Syed Nurul Islam, Nur E Yeasmin Fatima, Anaf Aziz, Md Kamrul Hasan, Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, Md Azhar Khan, Matiur Rahman and Rashedul Hasan Rintu.
