Khulna Abahani finish with an emphatic win

Khulna Abahani finished their B League campaign with an emphatic 3-0 win over bottom-ranked Rahmatganj MFS in the second phase match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
With this result, Khulna Abahani finished 9th in the league table securing 16 points while Rahmatganj MFS remained bottom of the table with 13 points, both playing 20 matches.
In the day's match, Tazul Khan, Rezaul Hakim Pikul and substitute Nazmul Hossain Nozu scored for the winners who led the first half 1-0.
Tazul scored the first goal for Khulna Abahani in the 40th minute by a header from inside the danger zone capitalizing on a Moshiul left wing free kick (1-0).
After the lemon break, Pikul doubled the winners' margin in the 74th minute by a placing shot from inside the D-box after dodging past an opponent defender. Before that he took the ball from the mid-field and made a swift run to enter into the opponent fort (2-0).
Nozu completed the winners' tally in the 84th minute with a placing shot from inside the danger zone off a Tazul close pass (3-0).
Both the teams squandered a few easy scoring chances.
The 'Old Dhaka' team, which dominated the first half of the match, missed a couple of chances while the 'sky blue' Khulna outfit took control in the second half and got some real scoring chances, but failed to further increase their margin.
