League leaders Khulna Division maintained their supremacy in the points table of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 9th National Cricket League despite a draw in the 6th round four-day match against Dhaka Division at the Bir Shrestho Matiur Rahman Stadium in Khulna Friday, reports UNB.
In two other matches, hosts Chittagong Division notched their second consecutive victory outplaying Barisal Division by seven wickets at the Bir Shrestho Ruhul Amin Stadium (BSRAS) while the other match between Rajshahi Division and Sylhet Division at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium (NOS) ended in a draw.
After the 6th round, Khulna Division continued to show their dominance securing 72 points followed by Rajshahi Division in the second position with 67 points.
Holders Dhaka Division is in the third slot with 54 points while Barisal Division followed them neck and neck with 53 points. Chittagong Division secured 49 points while bottom-ranked Sylhet Division bagged 33 points.
From this match, both Rajshahi Division and Chittagong Division secured 12 points each that included 8 bonus points per side. Khulna Division bagged 10 points with 6 bonus points.
Sylhet Division bagged eight points featuring six bonus points. Barisal Division 7 points, including 5 bonus points, while Dhaka Division 7 points with 5 bonus points.
Resuming the day with overnight 288 for 5 in 72 overs at the BSMRS, Khulna Division's middle order batsman Shakib Al Hasan notched his second century in the ongoing league as his side declared second innings at 327 for 5 in 76.1 overs giving Dhaka Division a tough 377-run target.
Shakib, who was batting on 82 Thursday, notched the 12th century of the NCL contributing an unbeaten 103 from 136 balls with nine fours while Nahidul Haque remained unbeaten on 13.
Right-arm off-spinner Mahmudullah Riyadh took two wickets for 32 runs while pacer Mahbubul Alam Robin, skipper Mohammad Ashraful and spinner Mosharraf Hossain Rubel took one wicket each.
Tushar Imran of Khulna Division was adjudged man of the match for scoring fifties in both the innings.
Chasing the huge target, Dhaka Division scored 275 for 4 in 78 overs in the second innings on the final day with the help of three half centuries from Mehrab Hossain Jr. Ashraful and Shamsur Rahman.
Shamsur remained not out with 51 while Mehrab contributed innings highest 75 off 129 balls with 11 fours. Ashraful made 67 facing 93 balls with four fours and a six.
Shakib and Murad Khan took one wicket apiece.

Wicket keeper Dhiman Ghosh and middle order Aftab Ahmed Chowdhury did the rest, as they remained unbeaten on 33 and 2 runs respectively to give their side an emphatic victory.
Arafat Salahuddin of Barisal Division was the lone wicket taker picking up two wickets for 42 runs in 9 overs.
