Khurshid Alam of DSE buried

Khurshid Alam, a former chairman of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) was buried at Banani graveyard in the city Tuesday evening.
He passed away Tuesday at 5.00 am at the age of 84 at the city's United Hospital. He had been suffering from old-age complications for long. He left behind two sons and a daughter.
Late Khurshid Alam had a chequered career in the fields of banks, corporate entities and international organisations.
The towering figure of DSE also worked as director of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, Singer (BD) Bangladesh, Rupali Bank, AB Bank, Bangladesh Aroma Tea Company, FBCCI and Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI).
Due to his outstanding role for the country's capital and economy, Mr. Khurshid won Atish Dipankar award.
He was also the president of Bangladesh Center for Economic Growth, member of Planning Commission, industry affairs panel advisor to World Bank and capital market-related consultant of the Asian Development Bank.
