Khushwant Singh passes away

Indian writer and journalist Khushwant Singh is no more. The renowned raconteur passed away at the age of 99, India’s NDTV reported today. NDTV quoting his son Rahul Singh said Khushwant Singh breathed his last at his home in Sujan Singh Park in Delhi, the capital of India. He will be cremated in the afternoon, Rahul Singh said. Born on February 2 1923 in Hadali, now in west Punjab in Pakistan, Khushwant Singh was the founder-editor of Yojana and editor of The Illustrated Weekly of India, the National Herald and the Hindustan Times. He was one the best known columnist in the subcontinent. He was famous for his acid wit and liberal political views.
