Killers of Dr Milon will be tried: Inu

Friday, 28 November 2014

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has said that like the war criminals’ trial, the trial of Dr Milon’s assassins would one day be held in this country. He said that to secure the democratic progress of the nation it is necessary to exclude the anti-Liberation, communal and militant groups and their patrons from the politics of the country. The minister was addressing a programme in the city on Thursday afternoon. Inu said that if the blood debt of the martyrs of the anti-autocracy movement like Dr Milon and Shajahan Siraj were to be repaid the residues of autocracy and the evil forces and their patrons, BNP-Jamaat, had to be defeated. Addressing the programme, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon said: ‘Dr Milon’s martyrdom had resulted in the fall of autocracy. But his dream of an exploitation-free, true democratic society was yet to be realised’. ‘But a constitutional process was prevailing in the country,’ he added. After the meeting a film on the Liberation War was shown, according to a news agency.
