Killing man now easier than killing fly: Ershad

Condemning the killing of four people in police firing in Tangail, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has said now killing people is much easier than killing a fly. “People only staged demonstrations protesting the assault on a mother in front of her son. Why were bullets sprayed on them? What did they do? Did they open fire or throw bombs or grenades? They did not do that,” the former president said. Talking to reporters at his Rangpur residence Palli Nibas, the JP chief further said, “Killing people has now become a daily affair and killing a man is now much easier than killing a fly. These incidents are happening for lack of good governance in the country.” Ershad, also a special envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said the government did not do the right thing by announcing the results of MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) admission tests as it was aware of question paper leak, according to a news agency.
