KKR retains Sakib for Rs 28m

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) retained ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan for 28 million rupees (Rs. 2.8 cr) on Wednesday, the first day of the two-day player auctions for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. A total of 514 players will go under the hammer over the two days’ auctions for the seventh edition of the IPL, according to a news agency.
