Knit-Tex exposition to start Dec 10

A three-day international exposition of knitwear and textile machinery will kick off on December 10 with a view to introducing the latest technology and machinery to local businessmen.
The second 'Knit+Tex Bangladesh 2009 International Expo' will be placed at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and Conference and Exhibition Management Service (CEMS) jointly organized the knit+tex expo from 2008.
BKMEA president Fazlul Hoque expressed hope and said "this type of exposition will help us to overcome the impact of recession in the coming days".
The expo will display the latest products and innovations of this sector as well as provide a platform for business deals with foreign buyers and leading local manufacturers and exporters.
Bangladesh is the third largest knitwear exporter of the world, which exports over six billion worth of knitwear per annum to 100 countries. The cumulative growth rate of this sector is around 22 per cent.
