Korea keen to establish nursing college in Bangladesh

Korea has expressed willingness to establish a nursing college in Bangladesh with a view to help expanding nursing education through provi-ding assistance, reports UNB.
The assurance came when a delegation of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) led by its country representative Lee Jung Wook called on Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque at his office Tuesday.
Lee Jung Wook informed the Health Minister that the KOICA has intention of establishing a nursing college in Bangladesh.
Welcoming the KOICA initiative, the minister said the government would extend all out cooperation for establishing the nursing college.
The delegation also discussed solution of various problems emerged in 30-bed Korea-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital at Jirani in Savar.
Later, a delegation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) led by Yukie Yoshimura called on the Health Minister and expressed willingness to extend assistance to expand the country's mother and child health activities and development of hospital management.
