Korea keen to invest in BD shipbuilding

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Dhaka Sukbum Park has shown keen interest in fostering cooperation and investments under joint venture(s) with Bangladeshi shipyards, a statement said Thursday.
This was evident when the ambassador of Korea visited Ananda Shipyard on the day. The envoy of the giant shipbuilding nation was accompanied by Han-II Kim, resident trade representative and Dong-Hyun Kim, senior manager of Kotra, Korean Trade and Business Agency.
Abdullahel Bari, chairman of Ananda Shipyard, explained different aspects of shipbuilding in Bangladesh.
He expressed hope that their present export orders might exceed US$ 200 million, added the statement.
