Korean company to invest in Chittagong EPZ

Bestec Accessories Limited, a Korean company, will set up a printing and accessories manufacturing industry in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (EPZ), said a press release.
An agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Bestec Accessories Limited in BEPZA Complex to this effect in the city recently.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Md Moyjuddin Ahmed and Director of Bestec Accessories Limited Seung Chul Kim signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Brig Gen Jamil Ahmed Khan, executive chairman, M Mahbub Ul Alam, member (Engineering), AKM Mahabubur Rahman, member (Finance), Md Shawkat Nabi secretary, AZM Azizur Rahman, general manager (Investment Promotion) and other officers of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
The 100 per cent foreign owned company will invest US$ 1.408 million in setting up their unit and will produce printing and accessories items.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 210 Bangladeshi including four foreign nationals.
