KP Int'l knitting industry starts operation at UEPZ

RANGPUR, Jul 19 (BSS): An export-oriented and modern knitting industry of KP International went into production at Uttara Export Processing Zone (UEPZ) in Syedpur town of Nilphamari district from Wednesday, officials said.
Chairman of the knitting industry Kawser Parveen formally switched on its production activities at a simple ceremony attended by the officials and executives of KP International, UEPZ, government officials, workers and local elite.
Speaking on the occasion, Owner of KP International Parveez Khan said all products of the industry will be exported to the USA and other developed countries from the first week of the next month.
He said a total of 250 workers are now working to produce quality sweaters and several thousands more will be appointed in phases in future.
The first consignment of the produced sweaters will be exported to the USA in August and all necessary formalities have already been completed in this connection.
