KPM earns Tk 30m profit in six months

CHITTAGONG, Feb 18: Karnaphuli Paper Mills (KPM) Ltd earned a profit of around Tk 30 million (3.0 crore) during the first six months of the current fiscal.
According to KPM sources, as the biggest nationalised paper mill of the country under Bangladesh Chemical Indus-tries Corporation (BCIC), the KPM has been able to earn the profit due to active supervision of joint forces during the recent period, effective steps undertaken in resisting irregularities and corruption and above all united working endeavour of the workers, employees and officials of the mill.
If the trend continued, the KPM would be able to contribute its mite towards the uplift of the national economy, sources added.
