Kruif takes charge of National Football Team in June

Dutch coach Lodewijk de Kruif will take the charge of the Bangladesh national football team in the coming June of this year as per the deal signed between him and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Saturday, reports UNB. Two Dutch coaches-Lodewijk de Kruif and Rene Koster-and Bangladesh Football Federation signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the BFF House Saturday. Rene Koster will take over the charge of BFF Football Academy in Sylhet in June alongside the duties of assistant coach of the national team. BFF President Kazi Salahuddin, National Team Committee Chairman and BFF vice president Kazi Nabil Ahmed, BFF vice presidents Tabith Awal and Arif Khan Joy and acting general secretary Abu Naeem Sohag were also present on the occasion. Kazi Salahuddin, the BFF President said: We're all happy that we came to an understanding. All the terms and conditions have been met from both sides…. Even though they'll be taking charge from June, I've requested them to come on a loan-contract for three weeks (Feb 20-March7) for helping us prepare for the AFC Challenge Cup. They'll inform us on that by Tuesday after consulting with their clubs. Lodewijk de Kruif, the new Dutch coach of Bangladesh said: We're happy with the agreement, it's a tough one, we'd like to work in this country. We've a lot of plans and idea about how to develop football here, there're some wonderful people who love the Dutch way of playing football and also to develop the game and handling it. Both Rene Koster and I are the product of Dutch school, we're young and we're the explorers of Dutch football. We want to implement a few things in Bangladesh. We're very hardworking, very driven and educated; we want to take Bangladesh football to a higher level. Rene Koster, the assistant coach and the head coach of Football Academy said, "For me, the project of soccer academy is a big challenge, but I've the experience of developing the youngsters in Holland, it's a big challenge, I'll try my best to develop the players for the national team, we've two big challenges in March and September, let's hope we can do the best."
