KSE index gains 30.48 points

KARACHI, June 30 (Business Recorder): Late buying in some select stocks supported the KSE-100 index to close in positive at 9,702.03 points level with a net gain of 30.48 points Tuesday.
After opening in positive the index hit 9,736.29 points intra-day high level, up 64.74 points. However, due to selling mainly by local investors the index dropped into negative zone to 9,569.68 points intra-day low level, down 101.87 points.
Trading activities remained extremely low as the volume at ready counter declined to 62.849 million shares as compared to 81.464 million shares traded Monday. Market capitalisation increased by Rs 10 billion to Rs 2.725 trillion. Of 417 active scrips, 230 closed in positive and 157 in negative, while the value of 30 scrips remained unchanged.
