KSE index loses 194.73 points

KARACHI, June 1 (Business Recorder): The Karachi share market Monday witnessed negative trend and KSE-100 index lost 194.73 points due to heavy selling pressure by local as well as foreign investors.
The KSE-100 index closed at 9,326.42 points against 9,521.15 points previous close.
The index hit 9,541.53 points intra-day high and 9,311.96 points low level. Trading was thin and the volume at ready counter declined to 60.515 million shares as compared to 94.664 million shares were traded in the last session.
Market capitalisation declined by Rs 54.248 billion to Rs 2.639 trillion from Rs 2.693 trillion.
Of 412 active scrips, 103 closed in positive and 299 in negative, while the value of 10 scrips remained unchanged. Lotte Pakistan PTA was the volume leader with 5.782 million shares and it closed at Rs 8.52 with a loss of Rs 0.60 per share.
