KSE index recovers 48.28 points

KARACHI, May 19 (Business Recorder): The KSE-100 index Tuesday recovered 48.28 points to close at 10,082.04 points level on the back of fresh buying in some select scrips on dips.
After opening in negative zone, the index kept oscillating between 10,113.29 points intra-day high and 10,002.10 points intra-day low levels.
However, fresh buying in some select stocks after mid session supported the index to close in positive. Trading activity slightly improved as the volumes at ready counter increased to 84.858 million shares as compared to 73.623 million shares traded Monday.
The overall market capitalisation increased by Rs 14 billion to stand at Rs 2.845 trillion. Out of the total 406 active scrips, 193 closed in negative, 187 in positive while the value of 26 scrips remained unchanged.
