KSE index up 16.67 points

KARACHI, May 11 (Business Reporter): The Karachi share market Monday witnessed positive trend and KSE-100 index gained 16.67 points to close at 10,288.14 points from 10,271.47 points.
Overall mixed trend was witnessed and the index hit 10,338.33 points intra-day high and 10,247.94 points low levels, while despite positive trend, trading shrunk and the shares turnover at ready counter declined to 71.35 million shares as compared to 181.113 million shares traded in the last session.
Market capitalisation surged by Rs 2.386 billion to Rs 2.908 trillion from Rs 2.905 trillion. Of 427 active scrips, 167 closed in positive and 237 in negative, while the value of 23 scrips remained unchanged.
Lotte Pakistan was the volume leader with 6.207 million shares and it closed at Rs 11.32 with Rs 0.02 loss. NIB Bank was on second number with 5.99 million shares and gained Rs 0.01 to close at Rs 4.03 per share. Bank of Punjab gained Rs 0.95 to close at Rs 15.26 with 5.38 million shares.
