KU activities postponed for 3 days

KHULNA, Dec 28 (UNB): Academic activities, including examinations, of Khulna University will remain postponed for three days from today (Wednesday) to mourn the death of a student by a bus of the varsity.
The three-day mourning programme is being observed from today amid hoisting of black flags and wearing of black badges by the students, eachers, officials and employees.
A syndicate meeting of KU, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Saifuddin Shah, on Tuesday night formed a four-member committee to probe into the killing of the KU student by a bus on the campus.
The committee, headed by Dr Mohammad Monirul Islam of the varsity, has been asked to submit its report within a week.
KU Registrar Prof Dr Mohammad Abdul Mannan filed a case with Batiaghata thana in connection with the killing of the student.
