Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Wednesday unveiled its “Financial Stability Report 2013” that identified the lack of corporate governance in the state-owned commercial and specialised banks as a major factor that may adversely affect the stability in the country’s banking sector. “Deficiency of corporate governance is causing a few scams at some state-owned commercial banks and specialised banks,” said the report officially released by Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman, according to a news agency.
