Lafarge CEO elected CCIFB president

Tarek Elba, Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd has been elected as the President of the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIFB) for the year 2014-15 & 2015-16. The CCIFB elected its new President and the Executive Committee during its 16th Annual General Meeting held recently. Tarek Elba joined Lafarge in 2001. Since then, he has held various important positions in sales and marketing at Lafarge Cement Egypt. In 2006, he was appointed as Commercial Director. Since 2012, he has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd. With more than 20 years of experience in the fields of sales, marketing, trade and business development, he has successfully served the steel and cement industries in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, according to a statement issued by Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd.
