Lalbagh Anwar Sporting beat Mirpur Boys

A fine century by Ripon powered Lalbagh Anwar Sporting Club to a seven-wicket win over Mirpur Boys Cricket Club in the Metropolis Third Division Cricket League at the Gulshan Youth Club ground in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
Batting first, Mirpur Boys were all out for 174 in 46.3 overs with Zafar making 37 and Maruf 31 runs. Kawser and Jahangir took three wickets each for 27 and 32 runs respectively.
In reply, Lalbagh Anwar SC cantered to their target of 175 runs in 34.3 overs for the loss of three wickets with Ripon contributing 101 runs off 104 balls that featured 16 fours and a six.
Results of the day's other matches: Azad Boys Club (202/10 in 49.1) beat GMCC (162/10 in 41.1) by 40 runs at the City Club ground; Bangladesh Police (218/10 in 47.5) defeated Pragoti Seba Sangha (197/10 in 47.5) by 21 runs at the Uttara Friends Club ground; and Orient SC (238/4 in 48.1) outclassed Narayanganj Cricket Academy (234/8 in 50 overs) by six wickets at the Dhanmondi Club ground.
