'Land management modernisation to remove sufferings'

MYMENSINGH, Jan 8 (BSS): Minister for Land Rezaul Karim Hira, MP, today said the present government under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Sheikh Hasina has taken effective initiatives to modernize the land management system in order to remove the sufferings of the common people regarding land issues.
A petitioner will get his required services from the desk within maximum 45 days, said the minister while addressing the inaugural ceremony of "Time bound one stop service" at Sadar AC Land office here today.
This system is the first of its kind in the country as a model under Management at the Top (MAAT) project of Ministry of Public Administration.
To render quick services to the people, this desk has been introduced here and it will be ensured that the officials and employees are doing their assigned job properly, said the minister.
The government passed "Vested Property Act, 2011" and a tribunal will be formed soon and it will start work within three months to handover the vested property to the owners who have the valid documents, the minister said.
