Land offices to come under CCTV surveillance to curb corruption

Monday, 2 September 2019

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said on Sunday land offices across the country will be brought under CCTV (closed-circuit television) cameras' surveillance to ensure corruption-free land services, reports BSS.
"CCTV cameras will be installed at all the land offices across the country to ensure corruption-free service…. The DPP (Development Project Proposal) is underway to install CCTV cameras across the country's land office," he said.
The minister came up with the remarks while inaugurating the cabin-pickup transfer programme by handing over the vehicle keys to five of the AC Lands.
The cabin-pickups will be provided to all upazila land offices in the country in phases as the vehicle can bring a qualitative change at the field level, said the minister.
