Land official suspended for graft in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Mar 3 (BSS): State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed in a surprise visit to Chittagong Land Office today temporarily suspended a land officer and passed order to transfer two others for irregularities and corruption.
The state minister made the order while visiting city's Kattoli Land office this noon.
Saifuzzaman Chowdhury suspended deputy assistant land officer Safik Uddin temporarily on charges of procrastinating in settlement of cases.
Moreover, assistant land officer Akkas Uddin and deputy assistant land officer ABM Masum were issued transfer orders for not depositing revenues in the government exchequer. The state minister also issued show-cause notices to them on the same ground.
